Composed in 1986, the expressive, lyrical Ekhnaton’s Prayer contrasts the lively Phoenician Dance, which is punctuated by the Arabic rhythmic pattern masmoody, including occasional drumming on the body of the cello. A perfect choice for the trio looking for a unique crowd-pleaser to spice up programs.
